#GoOpen. Open Educational Resources Convening in Washington

The Teachers in Social Media team headed to Washington D. C. to present at New America's Open Educational Resources (OER) convening. Gathering a group of education professionals across state education agencies, non-profits, school districts, and universities, Kristina Ishmael-Peterson focused on:

1. Research-practitioner partnerships

2. Mentoring and support structures

3. Sustainability models

4. State and district policies.

Dr. Kaitlin Torphy presented work on teacherpreneurs' engagement within social media and virtual resource pools, preliminary evidence on the quality of resources online, and considerations as districts and states scale OER models.
