Dr. Kaitlin Torphy, Dr. Sihua Hu, and Yuqing Liu traveled to Chicago to present their work on the impact of the Common Core State Standards on teachers' instructional resource seeking over time.
Using an interrupted time series model, the Teachers in Social Media team examines differences in teachers' resource acquisition and sharing within Pinterest pre and post CCSS reform within two Midwestern states. They find significant decreases in teachers' access of educational materials, after accounting for district, state, and Pinterest's platform growth during the time period.
