American Educational Research Association Conference 2018

Teachers in Social Media traveled to NYC for the American Educational Research Association conference. On Friday, Dr. Kaitlin Torphy presented work with co-authors Dr. Sihua Hu and Yuqing Liu on the impacts of the instructional quality of online resources on classroom teaching. Preliminary results indicate as teachers curate greater proportions of quality resources within particular dimensions of cognitive rigor, their teaching quality as evidenced by cognitive demand improves. Additionally, they teach more ambitiously incorporating more student opportunities for agency, authority, and identity.
